Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

VernaTalk is provided by LexDawn Global. VernaTalk is a voice-first AI companion for children ages 4-8, designed for use with a parent, legal guardian, or other authorized adult nearby.

2. Adult account and child profile

Adults create and manage the account. We may collect the adult's email address, login credentials, consent records, subscription status, support communications, child nickname, AI friend name, app language, region, speech settings, theme, quota usage, and safety preferences. We do not require a child's real name, phone number, address, school, or identity documents.

3. Voice, text, AI, TTS, pictures, and media

With microphone permission, VernaTalk processes only voice clips that the user actively submits. A clip is sent to Tencent Cloud Speech Recognition with its speech language, the resulting transcript and up to 10 recent messages may be sent to Tencent Cloud Hunyuan through Tencent Cloud TokenHub with the child nickname, AI friend name, and language settings to create an age-aware reply, and the reply text and language may be sent to Tencent Cloud Text to Speech for playback.

Private voice and media objects needed for processing and delivery are stored in Tencent Cloud Object Storage in the configured ap-guangzhou region. The reviewed app version does not send child content to DeepSeek or MiniMax and does not use third-party image generation. It may display curated or previously cached media.

Optional photo recognition sends only a photo you select and explicitly confirm to Tencent Cloud Hunyuan through TokenHub for visual understanding. Photos are resized and stripped of location metadata before upload. Raw photos are processed transiently and are not saved in our server history or object storage. Recognition text is retained in the conversation, and Tencent TTS receives the reply text to create private spoken audio. Account-scoped adult AI consent is required, and you can cancel before sending each photo. Do not submit faces, identity documents, or private information.

Before raw voice upload, the service creates a durable deletion instruction. Raw voice is scheduled for deletion within 24 hours, and deletion retries continue until the object store confirms success. Raw voice is not used as a long-term child profile.

4. How we use data

We use data to provide voice Q&A, photo recognition, AI replies, speech playback, curated media, conversation history, account login, onboarding, subscriptions, quota enforcement, safety filtering, abuse prevention, diagnostics, customer support, legal compliance, and product reliability. We do not sell children's personal information. We do not use children's data for behavioral advertising or cross-app tracking.

VernaTalk contains no advertising SDK and no third-party analytics SDK. We use limited first-party product-interaction, performance, crash, and security records to operate and protect the service. These records are filtered to exclude raw audio and transcript-like fields and are not used for advertising.

5. Service providers

The active processors for this version are Tencent Cloud Speech Recognition, Tencent Cloud Hunyuan through TokenHub, Tencent Cloud Text to Speech, and Tencent Cloud Object Storage for the purposes and data described above. Apple Push Notification service receives a device push token and notification-delivery metadata only if notifications are enabled. Apple App Store or Google Play processes payment and gives us minimized transaction, entitlement, renewal, refund, and restore information.

For the transfers described in this version, we confirm that each named provider will provide the same or equal protection for user data as stated in this policy and required by the App Store Review Guidelines. Their applicable processor terms require authorized access, confidentiality, security measures, assistance with data-subject rights, and materially equivalent duties for subprocessors. We do not instruct or authorize a provider to use child information for advertising, sale, profiling, or unrelated model training.

6. International processing

Data may be processed in countries or regions other than where the user lives. We use contractual, technical, and organizational safeguards where required by applicable data-protection, child-privacy, and cross-border transfer laws. If local mandatory law provides stronger protections, we will follow that law.

7. Parent rights and deletion

Parents and guardians may request access, correction, deletion, withdrawal of consent, account closure, or information about the named service providers. Before the first voice Q&A, the adult sees the named AI/cloud recipients, data, and purpose and may accept or decline. Consent is account-specific. In Parent Settings, the adult may review the disclosure or withdraw consent; withdrawal immediately blocks new voice Q&A and photo recognition transfers until current consent is granted again. To close the account, open Parent Settings, then Account, then Delete Account. If the app cannot be accessed, email vernatalk@lexdawnglobal.com. We may verify that the requester is the account holder, parent, legal guardian, or authorized adult.

Account deletion closes authentication first and clears adult contact/login data, consent records, child profile and settings, conversations, transcripts, AI replies, private media, device links, sessions, and quota records. Object deletion retries until confirmed. Successful deletion-operation tombstones are retained for no more than seven days to prevent a late upload from recreating deleted media. Minimized store transaction identifiers or keyed hashes may be retained for refund, dispute, tax, accounting, restore, and fraud-prevention obligations; raw purchase credentials and provider payloads are cleared. Other security or legal records are minimized and kept only while needed for their stated purpose.

8. Safety reminders

Children should not share real names, addresses, school names, phone numbers, social accounts, precise locations, identity documents, payment information, health details, or family private information. VernaTalk is not a teacher, doctor, lawyer, therapist, emergency service, or safety professional.
